How many materials are used in building the Pismo Beach Pier?
This rehabilitation includes upgrading the existing timber piles with steel piles; cleaning and recoating the existing steel piles and steel pile caps; and replacing the timber braces, decking, and handrails. The Pismo Beach Pier is made up of approximately 382 timber piles and 115 steel piles. The deck area is 60,100 square feet and there are 2,840 feet of guard railing.
