City of Pismo Beach Government
I work at a local restaurant, and I see firsthand the amount of water WASTED!We DO ONLY PROVIDE water to those who request it.Ourwater glasses are too big! 90%percent of the patrons don't drink all the water poured. Therefore, the amount of water wasted is DISHEARTENING.Each & every day, thousands and thousands of gallons of our precious resource simply gets poured down the drain!
Please consider my proposal/idea:
1.) The City of Pismo Beach can purchase water glasses (in bulk) for a minimal price.
2.) The glasses could be made of plastic or glass.
3.) The City can then "encourage" the restaurant owners use the city-provided water glasses. (The restaurants can use their glasses of choice for all of the other beverages they serve.
4.) The amount of water saved would easily offset the costs of the water glasses.
5.) Signs and/or table toppers could be made announcing that "Restaurant A" is participating in the Pismo Beach Water Conservation Project.
